Come out and see us!
Ellis County Master Gardeners are at the Waxahachie Farmers Market
Every Saturday May 8 through October 30, 2021
8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Farmers Market new venue at 701 Howard Road
After a year on pause, the Ellis County Master Gardeners Association has returned to the Waxahachie Farmers Market, in its new venue at 701 Howard Road. The Market opened on May 8th, and has a brand-new look as it is under roof, out of the sun, wind, and rain…and on a concrete floor made for easier travels between a variety of old and new non-profit organizations and vendors.
ECMGA is in the market area every Saturday from May 8 through October 30, 8 am to 1 pm, to share information to help patrons make the most of our Ellis County gardens, grasses, and landscape.
We will be providing free calendars with a wealth of information (while supply lasts) and highlighting local sponsors and products along the way. You can talk to a Master Gardener about the process required to earn your own certification and join up with this local group as we promote continuing education in horticulture, good water use, and other sustainability areas. Maybe you have a special plant or pest-related concern, and you can find out about a variety of free resources available to help you sort out these challenges as well!
The new venue is close to the butterfly garden, maintained by the organization, so we hope you will take the short walk and make a visit there as well.
While on-site members will be limited as we continue to promote a safe, healthy return to a public life, the on-site team is supported by a small army of members behind the scenes, who are working to develop research materials to provide specific and timely information about related topics and standing by electronically to provide help with specific questions/concerns brought in by the patrons of the Market.
We look forward to seeing you!
